The QX50’s sole engine is a 3.7-liter V6 that develops a robust 325 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, sent to the rear wheels. All-wheel drive remains available, intended for all-weather capability rather than off-road usage.
All QX50s use a seven-speed automatic transmission. With either front-drive or all-wheel drive, fuel economy is estimated at 17/24 mpg (city/highway). Rear doors open 80 degrees to ease entry into the back seats.
Formerly offered in two trim levels, the 2016 QX50 comes in a single version, available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Every QX50 comes abundantly equipped, including a power moonroof, heated front seats, leather-appointed seating, eight-way power driver’s seat, power heated outside mirrors, dual-zone automatic temperature control, Intelligent Key with pushbutton ignition/start, six-speaker audio with CD/MP3 capability, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth hands-free phone system. Sequential welcome lighting is standard, as are a rearview monitor, automatic headlights, front foglamps, LED brake lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Aluminum roof rails are optional, as are Bose 11-speaker premium sound and a navigation system with touchscreen display and Lane Guidance, and voice recognition for audio and navigation.
